It's really simple. We never profit from exchange rates so ours are always the best in the UK. Instead we make our money from annual membership fees. So our cash exchange rates are always the best in the UK.

Our distribution centre in London only delivers A grade notes which have been security checked by a wholesaler such as American Express. Our distribution centre handles over £500m of trades each year and despatches hundreds of mail order items on their busiest days. They are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and registered with HMRC as a Money Service Business, ensuring our foreign currency service is fully compliant with all UK regulations and best practice. The actual provision of travel money (also known as "cash FX") is not regulated by the FCA.

We process card payments through Worldpay, the world's largest online payment processor handling over 26 million transactions daily. They store your card details on their secure servers so we never see them. Once they have received cleared funds from your card issuer, those funds are paid straight to our currency supplier - often after the order has been despatched. Our brilliant technology means you can have the currency in your hands within just 20 hours of ordering it!

Our orders are picked and packed by a specialist mail order team at our London distribution centre operating under the most rigorous security conditions. All of our deliveries are made using Royal Mail Special Delivery with insurance to cover the whole value of the order from door-to-door. Royal Mail handle millions of special deliveries each week including cash and valuables, so you can be confident that your foreign currency will arrive safely and on-time.

Online fraud means we are required to only allow deliveries to the cardholder's address. For guests this must be the account address we have done the ID check against. Members go through enhanced security checks, so they get a bit more flexibility and can use a corporate/business card in their name to have orders delivered to the office.

We make no margin on the exchange rate, whether you buy $1 or €10,000. Our profit comes from running the membership organisation and from the membership fees you pay us to access our market-leading exchange rates and other membership benefits such a free delivery and our mobile app. That means we stay focused on ensuring your experience as a member is faultless and you renew with us again next year.

Everyone in the cash foreign exchange industry makes their money the same way - by taking a margin on the conversion of sterling to the foreign currency. Some make a little, some make a lot, but they all make something - so the more they sell the more profit they make. It's therefore no surprise that existing providers choose to make big profits from exchange rates rather than small profits from membership fees!

Money laundering, fraud and organised crime represent a huge threat to the UK economy, and we take very seriously our responsibility to prevent our service being exploited. That's why we employ state-of-the-art identity checks on every subscriber and implement strict purchasing controls such as single order limit, annual exchange limit and exchange frequency limit. We also impose a 'wait' time between orders of 14 days for members and 28 days for guests.

While the vast majority of our notes are available same day from our wholesalers, there are a couple of currencies where notes are in shorter supply at certain times of the year, so we may require an additional business day to source them and they are therefore not available for next business day delivery*. When placing an order, the app or website will clearly highlight the delivery windows available in the next 7 days. Currently this only applies to the Mexican Peso (MXN).
